"In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn"- Phil Collins. A two day intensive training on Strengthening assessments and evaluation practices, and classroom management and Pedagogy was conducted for all the teaching staff on 27th and 28th May 2024. The resource person was Ms. Supriya Punyamurthula. The session was very insightful. On first day the topic was strengthening assessments and evaluation practices. The speaker threw light on how the assessment practices should shift from recall to more application based learning. She guided the teachers on how we can frame each question to understand the gap in learning in students. The importance of multi disciplinary approach in assessments was also addressed. The need for unbiased and standardized evaluation practices was also addressed. On the second day the topic was classroom management and pedagogy. The changes in Education policies was addressed. There were demo classes conducted to show how the pedagogy can shift to cater to appropriate grades. Over all this workshop was an eye opener for all the staff members.
