World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at St. Joseph's Indian Primary School on June 5, 2026, in the school auditorium. The program began with a prayer service and a warm welcome address, followed by a brief presentation highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living. The Director, Rev. Fr. Joseph D'Souza, SJ, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to care for and nurture the saplings planted on campus and to take personal responsibility for protecting the environment. The Principal, Ms. Annette, administered the Environment Day Pledge, and the students solemnly pledged to care for nature and help build a cleaner, greener, and healthier future. A sapling planting drive was an integral part of the celebration, offering students a meaningful opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to environmental stewardship. The activity reinforced the inspiring message: “Plant a Tree Today, Grow a Better Tomorrow.” As part of the World Environment Day 2026 celebrations, students from St. Joseph's Indian Primary School also participated in the Painting and Essay Competitions organized by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on June 2, 2026, at Jawahar Bala Bhavan, Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. Held under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”, the competitions aimed to raise environmental awareness and foster a sense of responsibility toward nature among young minds. The event encouraged students to reflect on their role in preserving the environment and inspired them to become active contributors to a sustainable future.
